Noah found favor in the eyes of the Lord! One hundred years, his three sons helping, While the world was having fun, Noah built what God had told him; Finally the ark was done! "Make some rooms for all the cattle; pack the food so it won't rattle; Load the animals by couples; Noah, wife, and sons with wives." Noah then, at age six hundred, Finished quite an awesome chore; Everything was packed and ready; God Himself then shut the door! 2. Then at last the heavens opened, and the rain came pouring down; Forty days and nights of nothing but that raining, raining sound. But Noah and the creatures were remembered by the Lord! God had stopped the rain and then the water settled back! BUMP! The ark had rested on a mountain name of Ararat! Sent a raven out for searching; sent a dove to look around. Oh, the dove brought back a branch! Some things were growing on the ground! Shem and Ham and Japheth helped those animals go out two by two; For a year they'd stayed inside, then finally the earth was new! (Can be Sung to: Never Mind the Why and Wherefore) |
