1. Hannah no children had;
This made her very sad; to God she prayed,
"Oh, Lord, remember me;
Give me a son I plea; he'll belong to Thee."

2. Her prayer was answered well,
She named him Samuel, and he did grow.
Then when the time was right,
She brought him to Eli; to the Lord he'd go.

3. As a man, Samuel, prophet to Israel,
