Acts Song #22 - The Men Of Athens. (Tune: Since I have been Redeemed) Paul traveled to Greece and told the idol worshipers in Athens about the true God. |
1. The men of Athens spent their time On nothing but to hear Some new thing or some great idea Or some unknown they feared. 2. So Paul said, "Here is something new I'll tell you, and it's true: The God who made the worlds and all Is very close to you." (chorus only after vv. 2 & 4) Then came Paul, and told them all, "God's not small doesn't live in man-made temples, not at all!" Then came Paul, and told them all, "God is near, not too far from us all." 3. "You've made some temples out of stone To show Him that you care, But He's the one who made the world, He cannot fit in there." 4. "But closer than you ever thought, Yes, He Himself's the place. In Him we live and move and are, And we are of His race." |
