Acts Song #4 - They Waited and They Paryed. (tune: the desperado)
For ten days, the disciples waited and prayed, as the Lord had told them to do!

(slowly and quietly)
They waited and they prayed steadfastly in the upper room.
The Lord had told them He would give them power very soon.
A hundred twenty men and women prayed in one accord –
For ten days they were waiting for the (*) promise.
(big and noisy!)
And then a mighty wind came-a
(*) rushing in,
And filled the house where they were
(*) all together sitting.
Tongues of fire came, they (*) started speaking –
And all were filled up with the Holy (*) Spirit.
