PRAY, PRAY, PRAY

1. Abraham was a friend of God
And he really knew how to pray.
Just these two, Abraham and God,
Would talk over things ev'ry day.

Chorus:
So Pray, --- Pray, ---- Pray.
God hears what you say.
He really cares! He will answer you.
So pray, pray, pray.

2. When God sent five down on Lot's hometown,
Abr'ham prayed that Lot would be safe,
And sure enough, nephew Lot was safe,
For God answered his prayer that way.

3. Abraham and his wife asked God for a son
But God said to wait.
"In my time I will send that son
And He will make your family great."

4. Now Isaac, that son came as God said,
Bringing hope and joy to their hearts.
And once again God had shown to men
That He really meant what He said.

5. Testing comes to us all some day,
Testing came to Abraham too.
For God said, "Go, make a sacrifice,
I'll tell you what you must do."

6. "Now take your son for the sacrifice."
Again Abr'ham took time to pray!
And he went forth trusting God to guide,
And god spared ----- Isaac that day.

7. You may ask, "Are there certain things
For which Christians should not pray?"
No! There is nothing we cannot ask
Of God when we take time to pray.
