1. Oh, Jacob dreamed a dream one night,
He slept on pillows of stone;
He dreamed a ladder reached way up
To heav'n out there all a-lone.

2. Then Jacob dreamed some angels came
And God said He'd sure give
That special land to him to keep
As long as his folks should live.

3. Yes, Jacob dreamed God promised him
He'd keep him safe night and day.
And God will guard and guide us too,
If we take time to pray.
